Belur and Halebeedu

Belur and Halebeedu, one of the wonders in temple architecture around the world. These temples were built during the 12th century AD and the finest examples of the Hoysala architecture. The walls of these temples have the images of Hindu deities, various characters and scenes from the Hindu mythology like the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. Ganesha too finds a special spot among these carvings.
